Welcome to the homepage of the Structure Optimization and Neural Networks (SONN) research group at the Institut für Neuroinformatik, Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Research in this group is supported by grants from the BMBF and the DFG. We collaborate with various industrial partners and participate in the the projects LOKI, SOLESYS, and the SFB 475. Our recent activities in the field of evolutionary computation are summarized on a poster for the Congress on Evolutionary Computation 2002. You can also download the last SONN Report for a brief overview of our activities in the years 1997-2000.
